Calling Youth and Young Adults who want to experience an unconventional Bible Study and discuss topics that affect your daily lives, along with attending events outside the church:

As a youth initiative of Union Chapel, all middle and high school students are invited to experience Bible Study in an unconventional way from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of each month via Zoom. The 2nd Sunday is devoted to studying a book from the Bible, and the 4th Sunday features a pre-planned topic of choice that impacts your daily life, with either a participant leading the discussion or an outside guest.  If you are a young adult outside of this age group, we also welcome you to participate on both Sundays to share the wisdom you have obtained during your younger years. You do not have to be a member of Union Chapel to attend. In addition, we plan to organize fun events outside of our regular schedule. You will use the same Zoom link each Sunday:

On March 13, 2025, the Vaughn family celebrated Mr. Howard Vaughn’s birthday. He turned 103 years old. Mr. Vaughn is a World War II veteran and one of the few remaining in North Carolina.

His manner of speech is one of the handful of qualities that draw people to Mr. Vaughn, which, in turn, has kept him active in his community for so many decades.

He is particularly fond of singing in the church choir at Union Chapel United Church of Christ, where he boasts a unique distinction.

The Senior Choir that Vaughn helped found was one of the oldest African American choirs in Alamance County. The Senior Choir at Union Chapel is regarded as one of the original choirs, despite the numerous others that have come and gone since then.
